SYRCL ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL
Wild & Scenic Film Festival inspires people and unites communities to heal the earth. They show environmental and adventure films that illustrate Earth's beauty, the challenges facing our planetand the work communities are doing to protect the environment. Through these films, Wild & Scenic bothinforms people about the state of the world and inspires them to take action.Wild & Scenic raises resources and awareness for SYRCL's (South Yuba River Citizens League)initiatives to recover California's wild Salmon and to protect and restore the Yuba River.
Scooter's Pals was formed out of tragedy to give meaning to helping the least fortunate among us, abandoned dogs that cannot protect themselves and are destined to die. They work cooperatively with reputable rescue organizations to provide needed services for homeless animals. They vaccinate, spay and neuter, provide needed vet care, and microchip all their rescued dogs before adoption into homes.
THE ANIMAL FILM FESTIVAL
This all day festival takes place during a weekend at the end of February or beginning of March to entertain and enlighten audiences with independent films, comedies, documentaries, and work by emerging artists. Films may explore any aspect of animal welfare, animal rights, the human/animal bond or programs demonstrating ways to improve the lives of animals.
THE FRIENDSHIP CLUB
The Friendship Club engages, educates and empowers girls at risk. The Friendship Club is a prevention program designed to reach at-risk girls before they engage in unhealthy behaviors. The Friendship Club guides girls to bright futures and helps them to become valuable members of their community.
